ya 3AM and all the rest of the 23 hours in the day
its a great facility, do not get me wrong, I know its cool and all, Im just saying, I dont see how its legal in another state, I know of other places that do it, but still, I just do not see how they can do it, ya know.
I made that drive every day for two years. At all times of the day and night. If you follow the speed limit (and if your car is sporting VA tags, it is a very good idea to do so), you won't make it from Hunter Wright to GCHS in 15 minutes. Between 7:30AM-9AM and 3PM-5:30PM, you'll be lucky to make it in 25.
i think that its allowed because it really is a good experience for teams to be able to play there....and also gate city's field is on a flood plain and anytime there is any rain the field is unplayable and would cause major controversy with schedules

Might as well go through with it and rename GCHS to Kingsport North. Perhaps DBHS and KNHS could arrange their football schedules so they could share the use of J. Fred Johnson Stadium as well.
KNHS might as well move all of their basketball games to the Buck Van Huss Dome as well.

I'm sure Kingsport North's boosters could fund a very nice facility that the Junior Indians could call their own.
haha you are right about the va tags but honestly i do not speed and i make it to my house in under 15 min most of the time.....and as far as the late night/early mornin drivin goes we wont even get into those times haha
really good experence is not a reason.
They play JV games at their place, and if it rains they are not gonna let a HS team mare up a minor league park. To me, I just do not see any real reason to do it, like I said, other schools play on fields regardless of the conditions. It is nice, but just doesnt seem right.
